Key responsibilities of the board of trustees:

- Proposing a candidate for the President of the Institute to the Minister of Science, Research and Technology.

- Approving Institute's structure and necessary regulations as recommended by the Institute's President.

- Reviewing and approving the Institute's development and research budgets, and proposing development plans to the Founding Board.

- Approving the Institute's employment regulations, along with salary, wage, and benefits in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Approving the organizational chart of the Institute.
